From the tender age of 15, Eric embarked on a solo journey to Los Angeles. Under the guidance of influential church figures like Valerie, Mama Beck, Rev Josh Albert Hailey, and Henry Jackson, he refined his skills in gospel music. This period marked his evolution as a pianist, writer, and arranger. His first secular music tour included performances with Bobby Womack, and he later toured with D.J. Rodgers. His unique talents caught the attention of producers Jeffery Bowen and Berry Gordy VI, leading to a seven-year contract with Motown. In London, Eric’s career took another leap. He collaborated with the KOKOMO singers and made England his home, furthering his kingdom of music and style.
