Temple of Ideas & Curious Club Present: The Ideas Party
The "Ideas Party" draws together artists, thinkers, and creators for a unique gathering of creative communities. Join us in the Neighborhood Studio on the first floor at the Old Diorama Arts Centre where the magic of art, music, discussion, and performance come alive.
Meet some of the communities shaping this extraordinary evening:
Curious Club: Led by Chris Barlow, a community leader, founder of the Westminter Forum and advocate in the LGBTQ+ space, the Curious Club embraces the spirit of discovery. With the mantra "stay connected, stay curious," the club hosts monthly adventures, inviting members to explore everything from art and culture to culinary creativity, sparking fresh perspectives and lifelong curiosity.
Temple of Ideas: Founded by singer, songwriter, music and video producer Meg Lee Chin, the Temple of Ideas is modeled on the artistic and intellectual salons of the 17th and 18th centuries and is known for its spontaneous, raw, and vibrant gatherings. These events blend music, poetry, art, and discussion, creating an atmosphere where creativity flows, ideas spark, and connections thrive.

Through their engaging Facebook group and Substack community, the group fosters an open, supportive space that challenges stereotypes around aging, promoting bold, unconventional living. Members explore diverse topics—from creative pursuits and self-expression to relationships and well-being—breaking barriers and redefining what it means to age with vitality and purpose.

The evening will feature a playful and unexpected duet by Julie Dennis and Paul Hodgkinson—Julie, a former singer with Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts in his Charlie Watts Orchestra, also has an extensive background in music publishing and licensing, while Paul is an acclaimed guitarist. Rose Rouse, a London-based writer and poet, will share her vivid reflections on life’s raw edges, while Suzanne Noble, a jazz singer and advocate for sexual wellness among seniors, brings her unapologetic style to the stage.
Group singalong to karaoke at the end!
